With the rising costs of energy, more and more people are jumping on the green bandwagon and looking for more aggressive ways to conserve energy, and many others are pushing it to the limits and learning how to make electricity. How liberating it would be to not depend on anyone for our power needs, and believe it or not, it is not that difficult to do just that.

The reason that most people give for not switching over to more sustainable forms of energy is mainly because of the large cost associated with it. Solar panels are so expensive that estimates put it at 100 years to pay back the material and installation costs. Photovoltaic (PV) panels for power – and domestic, mast-mounted wind turbines – will take between 50 and 100 years to pay back, which is just not a good decision.

Even the NY Times did a story on the subject of solar power and came to the conclusion that, a homeowner in New Jersey whose electric bill is an above-average $100 a month could buy a system for about $54,000, it says. After the state rebate of $18,468 and the $2,000 federal tax credit, the system would cost $33,532.

And how many years will it take before you see any savings? From 11 to 22 years. The average payback is 14 years, said Polly N. Shaw, a senior regulatory analyst with the California Public Utilities Commission.

solarenerghomeNot to mention that the $1,580 a year your cash outlay would have been making had you left the money in a conservative investment like a government bond. That’s more than enough to cover the monthly electric bill.

So what is a person to do if they have the desire to be totally independent for their energy needs and live a lifestyle off of the grid? How do you make electricity? It is not a difficult task and there is no better time then right now to start producing our own electricity, and having freedom from the energy companies.

Believe it or not, there are millions of people who are living off of the power grid and producing enough electricity to run their entire household. In fact some are producing more than they need and selling it back to the local power companies for a profit, and this journey for many started with a desire of how to make electricity.

What kind of sacrifices would it entail to live off of the grid? Would we have to go back to the lifestyles of “Little House on the Prairie”? And I am here to tell you, No Way!! In fact there would be little difference between living off of the grid by learning how to make electricity, and paying your local power company hundreds of dollars a month to use theirs.

So how do you make electricity, and what does it take to live off of the grid you ask. For many the idea of living off of the power grid conjures up images of doing without the amenities that we have become accustomed to. There are many advantages to powering your home with renewable resources. You will never have to pay another electric bill, nor will you ever be looking for the flashlight in the dark when the power goes off because of a storm.

The concept of renewable energy is simple: a power source (ie. sunlight, wind or flowing water) is harnessed to produce low voltage direct current which is converted by a inverter into usable 120 volt alternating current. Excess energy is stored in batteries where it can later be retrieved and used to run lights, appliances or basically anything that requires power.

Personally, I think living off the grid is an exhilarating experience. The independence I feel by producing my own power more than offsets any minor inconveniences that I might experience, not to mention if everything goes to hell in a hand basket, I have peace of mind knowing that I will be fine.

You can build and install your own wind power system for around $100, you can also build your own solar panels with simple materials for less than $200. And the great thing is that you don’t need to be a mechanical genius or a science professor to implement these technologies. In fact many ordinary people with no building skills whatsoever like myself are home brewing these systems with little effort.

For complete and easy to follow directions on how to build a system to reduce your energy consumption by 80% or more with very little financial output, the earth 4 energy guide is a must have resource. The step-by-step fully illustrated instructions will have you creating electricity from your own windmill in no time at all.

The instructions are in very simple english so that anybody can build this power producing windmill. This windmill can power your household appliances and you can make it for less than $200! In fact, you can build my windmill for as little as $100 by using secret methods that very few people know about!

Do you want solar power too?! There are a few different systems I am going to show you depending on your application. First off, I will show you how to build a working solar power system for under $200. You can use this to power things like lights, laptops, TVs and basically anything you have in your home. This one is also great for camping as it is very portable.
I am going to give you full step by step instructions + a very clear diagram for you to follow so that you can make this portable setup in just a few hours!

Also you will then learn how to create a grid inter tied solar power system and a completely off grid solar power system. Each of these comes with their own instructions and diagrams.

If you have the desire to learn how to make electricity then this is the most basic and must have guide in print. Start your freedom from the power companies today with earth4energy.
